There's just something about those fancy fonts, hand drawn letters and patterns, and ornate glyphs and accents. My love affair with old things began when I was a young teenager going on countless bottle hunting expeditions with my mom. Sometimes I like to challenge myself and see if I can create one of these old antique beauties. The other day while browsing for old letterheads on Google I found this awesome photograph of an <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10089490@N06/4143539435/" rel="nofollow">old specimen card</a> for the Preston Moorbrook Mill Co. I put myself to the task of creating this card. I made all the ornate shapes in Illustrator then designed the whole thing in Photoshop. The Billhead font I used for the company name is one I bought a while back from LetterHead Fonts. And <a href="http://dougdraws.com/show/oldletterhead.jpg" rel="nofollow">here</a> is my finished design.
