In lieu of an official design-related blog post today, and because I just built a new computer over the weekend, which means I completely forgot that I needed to install MS Office (I start writing my posts in Word) and Creative Suite, and because Darren has just declared today, April 14, Blogger Appreciation Day [Unofficial], we’re gonna do a little link love.

John at I Love Typography has been doing an awesome job over there. He consistently produces high quality articles about our favorite subject, typography. His writing style is approachable and he loves to answer all type-related questions. He never hesitates to share what he knows so we can all learn to love typography (if we don’t already!). Thanks for all your hard work, John!

Vivien has been one of my wonderful bloggy friends. She has watched over Creative Curio while I’ve been on vacation and given some great advice over the past months that I’ve been involved in the blogosphere. And of course, she is always weaving these amazingly inspirational posts about typography, blogging and design. Thank you, Vivien, for all your dedicated work with Inspiration Bit!

Tara is another one of my original blogging friends and she runs Graphic Design Blog. She has a vast amount of design knowledge and advice to share. She’s been a little busy of late with her Weather Pops, but her blog has a huge archive of useful design articles, particularly the business side of design. Thank you, Tara, for your guidance and positive contribution to the design niche of the blogosphere!

David Airey is a remarkable logo designer. He started out with his design-centered blog that took on his own name where he shows us his design process and shares about the business side of design quite frequently. Recently, he branched out to fully embrace his Logo Design Love and has had tremendous success with that new blog. Thanks, David, for teaching us to love logos, too!

Kristarella is sure a fun lady to get to know. She is a huge supporter of The GIMP (the open source cousin of Photoshop) and a photography nut. I love the variety of topics she writes about and the fun and usually free things she shows us how to do. Thank you, Kristarella, for your friendship and the fun you add to my feed reader!

Charity is discovering some marvelous things about WordPress and openly sharing everything she knows on Design Adaptations. It amazes me how open bloggers are in sharing their knowledge. You would think they would want to horde it all for themselves so no one can take business away from them, but here they are continually sharing! Thanks, Charity for your great tips on WordPress and web design!

Jacob is an overnight sensation with Just Creative Design. He loves writing posts about all the interesting inspiration he finds online from photos to typography. Thanks, Jacob, for the creativity boosts!

Dawud has such great advice about the heart of business. He puts people first and a good business relationship naturally follows. He is always challenging us to see our business associates as people first, and work along side them to help cultivate their company. Thank you, Dawud, for your insights and warm, heartfelt counsel.

Liz is never short of wisdom and a boundless love for life and business (and a very Successful Blogger to boot!). I’m forever in awe of how transparent she is with her readers when sharing tough lessons she’s learned in the business world. She bridges the gap between work and personal growth like I’ve never seen. It’s such a privilege to learn from her. Thanks, Liz, for always being open and teaching us amazing things through your stories.

Chris G again and again has provided us with a unique perspective on new media. I love his practical suggestions about writing, blogging and social media. If you want his outstanding ebook, How to Write Killer Flagship Content, you’ll just have to subscribe to his feed!
And a big thanks to all you other bloggers out there for sharing what you know and teaching us something new!!
Which bloggers would you like to thank today? Why not write a post or leave a comment and take the opportunity right now!

Aww, cheers!
I agree with what you’ve said about these bloggers, I love most of them too! Haven’t been to Liz’s blog in yonkers though so I’m going to visit there.
Thankyou for your design tips, inspiration and encouragement to branch out into new tools!
Kristarella,
You’re welcome! Yonkers… hehe, you silly Aussies! Glad you stopped by to comment, whenever that was, so that I could get you know ya!
Hi Lauren
Thanks for the mention, you have helped me too - remember the PDF problem I had, which you sorted out for me!
Blogger Appreciation Day eh? Haha well I appreciate the link and thank you! I actually read all but 2 of the blogs above :P
Nice! Thanks very much, Lauren, both for placing me amongst such esteemed company, and for publishing your insights and tutorials here on Creative Curio. You’re doing a great job, and I hope you stick with it.
Ciao for now.
Tara,
Yes, I do remember the PDF author thing. I’m happy to have helped!
Jacob,
Hey, just time to share a little love and give back! Worked out good for me, too, because of the new computer issues.
David,
It pleases me immensely that accomplished designers can still learn a little something from me. I am certainly planning to stick with this! No end in sight right now!
You really are too modest. You are definitely the best logo designer I know, and you deserve every bit of praise you get. I’m glad you enjoy my blog and can learn from it
Thank you, Lauren.
John,
You’re welcome.
Funny how such small words can mean so much.
Merci beaucoup, Lauren - for the mention, for your support and encouragement, and for all the design stuff I’m learning from CreativeCurio.
Vivien,
You are so welcome. I’ve really loved showing you (all!) new things here and learning right along with you in the comments. It’s been a wonderful eight months here!
