I'm much more accustomed to Photoshop, and when I started Illustrator, I was disoriented at first but then I got to love it. I can't say the same for InDesign though. Ever since Day 1 of InDesign I felt like I was InHell. lol. I guess layouting probably isn't meant for everyone, eh?

I’m a bit on Katie’s side because I find InDesign to be user-UNfriendly. If you have any questions on InDesign, I will help you where I can! Feel free to email me or leave comments on the blog posts, but please refrain from any more profanity; I will edit it as I've done above.

Katie,
If you hate everything that is hard for you, you won’t achieve much in life. If the option to do what you want isn't in the Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts... area (show/hide layers is under Panel Menus and then scroll down to Layers), then you can't assign a shortcut to it. Someone may have created a plugin or script though! You may also find a script writer to do something like that for you, though it may not be cheap.
